Always start a kiss with your lips.  A kiss doesn't need tongue to be considered passionate & exciting.  Start off with a slow lip kiss first & see where things go from there.  Keep your lips soft and slightly relaxed while kissing.  Puckering your lips too hard makes them feel stiff and unnatural.

Here's a kissing tip that you can take advantage of alone: Brush your lips right after you brush your teeth.  This keeps them smooth and flake free, which gives you a sexy "kiss me now" look.  This should be easy to remember, since you brush your teeth at least twice a day (I hope ;)).  You can also use lip balm throughout the day to keep your lips kiss-ready at all times.

And please don't forget to breathe!  Some people make the mistake of holding their breath while learning to kiss, and pulling away in a panic in order to get some air into their lungs.  To prevent this awkward scene from happening, breathe slowly and steadily through your nose.

However, taking a break to breathe can be pretty sexy.   Here's how you do it: stop the kiss, breathe in a few deep sexy breaths (as if you'd just finished a very sex workout) while staring seductively into your lover's eyes, then jump right back into the kiss like he/she just came back from war.
